DLBP had the pleasure last week of attending a seminar hosted by Landmark Chambers relating to the matters of flood Risk and the sequential test.
Ben Murphy, Principal Planner, and Elyse Kenny, Senior Planner, heard from Richard Turney KC, Zack Simons, Charles Bishop and Isabella Buono who provided a comprehensive overview of this topic, supported by detailed practical case studies.
The seminar also provided an update on the latest case law related to matters of flood risk, as well as examples of how to satisfy the sequential test, particularly where a council lacks a sufficient housing land supply.
This provided a fantastic opportunity for the DLBP team to stay up to date on this important topic, and we look forward to putting our learning into practice.
